Three Wise Men Reserve Pinot Noir 2001
This wine was awarded a gold medal in the 2001 pinot class at the Victorian Wines Show 2002. James Halliday, comparing the reserve to the standard, says "it is deeper in colour and the oak has given the illusion of greater ripeness, with some plummy nuances making their appearance. This, coupled with oak tannins ... gives the wine greater complexity and more length. Although it is the better wine it needs more time and I prefer the standard wine for drinking
now." |
